Meet Our Psychologists and Therapists

Rafi'e Sadat Shahidi

Rafieh Shahidi was born in September 1986 in Tehran and is a psychotherapist in Parto Andisheh. She graduated from high school in the branch of physics and mathematics but chose to study Guidance and Counselling in Azad University, continuing on to successfully complete a masters degree in the same field. Immediately after graduation, she began working as a psychometric technician in a counselling centre in Tehran and in 2011 began working as a psychotherapist.

At the same time, Ms. Shahidi worked as a lecturer and therapist in various schools, university health centers and government controlled centers. She was director of Hamraz Counselling Center and was official life skills trainer in Tehran Universiry of Mefical Sciences.

In addition, Ms. Shahidi is a member of the Iranian Psychology and Counselling Organization as well as member of the Iranian Psychological Association and the Iranian Association for Emotion Focused Therapy (IREFT).

During studying at university and after graduation, Ms. Shahidi completed various specialised training courses in Cognitive Bevavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy under the supervision of reknowned Iranian therapists and scholars.

Shahidi's main fields of expertise include CBT, family therapy, relationships and emotional break ups as well as mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and helping clients with problems such as perfectionism and procrastination.

Ms. Shahidi's hobbies and interests include reading and reciting Persian poetry and playing the traditional Iranian musical instrument, the Def (Tamburine). Her motto in life is "life is all about learning. So in order to experience happiness, one has to keep learning."
